What Led the August 3-5, 2026 Sale

The 1901 Morgan Silver Dollar, PGA MS62 took the top of the board at $3,000, ahead of the 1867 Indian Head Cent, PGA MS66+ Red at $1,300 and the 1914-D $2.50 Gold Quarter Eagle, PGA MS63 at $1,200. Gold carried 6 of the 10 top lots, which is typical of our sales. 5 of the leaders were third-party certified; the rest sold raw on the strength of the photographs and honest descriptions.

Weekly estate sales like this one are where patient bidders do their best work. The material comes straight from estates and long-held collections, the boards run deeper than the headline numbers, and low opening bids mean the market alone decides where each lot lands. How these numbers come about is covered in our guide to how coin auctions work, and the coin grading guide explains the certified and raw grades used in the descriptions above.
