A dealer across the counter offers you one opinion of what your coins are worth, formed in about a minute, with their margin built in. An auction asks the whole market instead. What We Accept for Coin Consignment

We sell United States coins from half cents through double eagles, with particular strength in certified rarities and key dates, pre-1933 gold, and silver dollars and early type. We also handle world coins, ancient coinage, US paper money, and bullion. Certified or raw, single coins or a lifetime accumulation, a shoe box from an estate or a curated registry set: if it belongs in a serious coin auction, we want to see it.

How the Consignment Process Works

1. Contact us. Call the consignment line at (972) 982-7084 or email photos to consign@bidgoldstandard.com. Describe what you have; phone photos are fine.
2. Review. We look at what you have and tell you honestly whether auction is the right move, what sale fits, and what similar coins have brought.
3. Agreement. You get your commission terms and timeline in writing before anything is committed. No surprises later.
4. Cataloging and photography. We describe and photograph each lot so bidders can trust what they see, which is what makes them bid.
5. The sale. Your coins cross the block in a live webcast auction, open to absentee and real-time bidders nationwide.
6. Settlement. After the sale closes you receive your settlement on the schedule in your agreement, with the results published where anyone can check them.

What It Costs

Commission terms vary with the size and quality of the consignment, so we quote them per collection rather than publishing one rate that fits nobody. The promise we will make in print: you hear your exact terms before you commit, they go in writing, and there are no fees invented after the hammer. If you want a number, call.
