How do coin auctions work?
Each lot opens at a low starting bid and sells to the highest bidder when the sale closes. You can place absentee bids ahead of time or bid live during the webcast session. The winning bid plus the buyer’s premium, 15% with a $15 per lot minimum, is your final price. Our guide to how coin auctions work walks through every step.
How do I register to bid?
Create a free bidder account on HiBid, our bidding platform, open the sale you want, and register for it. Approval usually takes minutes. Once registered you can bid on any lot in that auction from your computer or phone.
What does it cost to sell coins at auction?
Consignment terms depend on what you are selling and how much of it there is. Call the consignment line at (972) 982-7084 and we will give you a straight answer before you commit to anything.
How does payment work after I win?
After the sale closes you receive an invoice for your winning bids plus the buyer’s premium and any shipping. Pay it, and we ship your coins or arrange pickup. You pay nothing if you do not win.

Our auction results page keeps a list of prices realized from completed sales, each linked to the closed catalog. It works as an auction archive for coin prices on the same material we sell every week.
Are online coin auctions safe?
Bidding runs through an established online auction platform, and every invoice comes from a national auction house with a street address and a phone that gets answered. Certified lots are graded by services such as NGC and PCGS, and each listing carries photographs of the exact coin.
